Here you can see the first dress I recently sewed.
It has elastic bands for a good fit and still needs to be printed with illustrations.
I especially like this kind of dress for hot summer days. It automatically looks sweet and lovely, hides little tummies loaded with ice cream and has a very female touch.

Plus one can be really artistic….
Maybe I put a fake moustache on the end of the bias binding next time

Tomorrow I will buy the colors for the print and do a little experimenting.

Hmm, I also think we have been quite lucky to catch a day full of sunshine. Seems like May isn´t what it used to be.
Rain rain rain.

Because I like this business-card photos on ffffound, behance etc here we are: photos taken on silver-reflecting paper with a little photoshop post processing.

Last year I got 2 pairs of great & cheap skater-shoes (I just love the shoe-designs) from Barcelona’s store “Pull and Bear”.
It’s a fairly unknown fashion sub-store-line from the italian concern “Zara” but with much cheaper prices and more colorful yearly-collections. And today it was the right time to get new ones – this time from our local converse&skate store in Vienna’s 7 district named “art & style”.

The fact that I last skateboarded in 2000 doesnt hold me back to still wear skatershoes. I think there isn´t such a big quality difference between the labels Emerica, Osiris and DC.

The designers of OSIRIS did a great job with this TROMA II ( > google it to see the design-variety). In my opinion they produce very smart, elegant and fitting shoes and I will count myself lucky if I will ever get the chance to do a graphical print-on design for them.

Wow, May first will be arriving soon!!!! Business start week, weeeeeeeeh!!!
Tomorrow I will be making things for the etsy store,  banner, product pictures and describtions.
My fingers hurt from hand sewing things, but I am as happy as I can be.
(Oh, if only I had a Pomeranian….but that is a whole different story)

I am buying new fabric almost daily. It is a kind of obsession, there is no stopping.
Today a rather corpulent arrogant russian lady tried to steal some of my assembled fabrics!!!
So I think I made a rather good selection.

Here are some sneak previews of fragrant strawberries. They smell like roses and vanilla and are very harmonizing.
Some of them still lack the seeds, but I will paint them on today.
I am such a happy girl!!! I can sell my strawberries all year long.

Who would have thought that once upon a time there were pills to gain weight, so one doesn´t look too skinny?
What happened to this beauty ideal? How I wish to see a campaign like this today!

This is the claim of this year´s Young Lions competition.
So tonight we will spend our time thinking about what idea to choose for the print ad.
Right now there are about seven different ideas and still more coming up.
Let´s hope that we will get at least a little bit of sleep.
